What to expect

I have a lot of fun getting to know and photographing people and all the little details. My main goal is to transfer that attitude to my client - so you and your kids walk away loving your experience. I know that getting photos taken can be intimidating, but I promise that it doesn’t have to be! Don’t worry if you’re “doing the right thing” (that’s not a thing anyway), just be prepared to laugh and get to know my goofy self as I get to know you!

Do what feels right for you! Whatever you would normally do at home whether it’s goofing around or dancing to a song in the kitchen. I will give you direction and guide you, but the best outcomes come when you are your most authentic self! Everything we do is a partnership. Without you, telling your story and sharing your love wouldn’t be worth documenting. We will celebrate, put on some music if you want, and document the real you!

We have a tendency to feel uncomfortable when we feel forced into certain poses or rushed. During your session, we will not force anything and take our time to make you as comfortable as possible. I’m not going to overwhelm you with rigid poses, but also give you prompts that we will build on. When we are slowed down and present in the moment, it shows. We can take our time and create intentional and special moments.

Keep moving! Whether it’s swaying, a playful nudge, rubbing a back, playing with hands, tickling...whatever! Just keep moving. The reason being that if you’re still and I take a few photos, you’re going to get the same photo. If you’re moving, you will get a variety of portraits from the bunch!

Don’t panic if I haven’t given you direction in a minute. It just means that you’re in the moment. I’m trying to capture the best shots possible. So don’t second guess yourself! I’m capturing you and telling your story.
